About to Great Exuma

The Islands of the Exuma's are located in the central Bahamas yet remain mostly undisturbed. These Islands are a collection of some 365 small cays and rocks stretching over 120 miles with the two main islands, Great Exuma and Little Exuma, located at the southern end of the island chain. The miles of picturesque islands, cays and hidden coves make for some of the most spectacular sailing in The Islands Of The Bahamas.

Located approximately 1/3 of the way south of the northern end of the Exuma island chain is The Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park. One of the first land and sea parks to be established in this hemisphere. This land and sea park is home to an indigenous iguana, a small guinea pig like animal called a hutia, several rare birds, colourful fish and breathtaking species of flora.

The Exuma Cays have also been featured in a number of Hollywood blockbuster movies including two James Bond films and recently Pirates of the Caribbean starring Johnny Depp who was so enamored with the islands that he bought one for himself. Other celebrities with their own private Exuma island include Tim McGraw and his wife Faith Hill, David Copperfield and Bernard Arnault of LVMH, Christian Dior, Fendi and Louis Vuitton fame.
