Welcome to England
England is located on the island of Great Britain, northwest of continental Europe. Often referred to as a nation in its own right, England is part of the United Kingdom (along with Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland), and constitutes a majority of the UK’s population with over 50 million residents. England is connected to the European mainland by the Channel Tunnel, which runs underneath the English Channel, connecting Folkestone, Kent, England with Coquelles in Northern France.
