Welcome to the Eternal City - Rome, Italy

The city of Rome is located in central Italy, in the Lazio region, close to the sea and nestled among the famous seven hills. Thanks to this strategic geographical position, since the second half of the XIX century Rome has been the capital of Italy, representing one of the most relevant cores of the political, administrative and cultural life of the Italian territory.

The whole city of Rome is completely immersed in legends, which melt with history and the beauty of ancient worlds. According to the legend, it was founded by the twins Romolus and Remus in 753 BC, and it first became the center of the Roman Republic, then of the Roman Empire, and during the 4th century AD it also became the capital of the Christian word. In the ‘80s, Rome’s historic center was declared to be a World Heritage site by UNESCO, including some of the major monuments of antiquity such as the Coliseum, the Imperial Forums, the Mausoleum of Augustus, the Mausoleum of Hadrian, the Pantheon, Trajan’s Column and the Column of Marcus Aurelius, as well as the religious and public buildings of papal Rome.

Beautiful villas - which once were the heritage of the most important families of the city – are surrounded by acres of greenery and offer the possibility of enjoying green areas, concerts, festivals and fairs which are organized in each villa every year. You can lie down on the grass, ride on a bike and get lost in the infinite meanders of these parks, or simply enjoy a romantic walk among the sinuous trees and fascinating lights beside Villa Borghese, just to name one.

But Rome is not just history and art; plate loads of pasta in Piazza Navona, aperitives in Trastevere, discos and bars in Testaccio, whatever you are looking for, either fun or culture. Don’t worry; you will have everything you want!
