As a region Wellington occupies the southern end of the North Island including Wellington, Hutt, Upper Hutt, Porirua cities and the Kapiti Caost. The region has a diverse range of stunning countryside landscapes and rugged coastlines including 50,000 hectares of regional parks and forests.
