Steamboat Springs, a Rocky Mountain town located in the northwest corner of Colorado, is world-renowned for its top-rated ski slopes and rejuvenating hot springs. A key figure in bringing Steamboat Springs to this status was Carl Howelsen, a Norwegian who in 1913, came to area and introduced the sport of ski jumping.
