Cicero, Indiana is 30 miles northeast of Indianapolis and is located at the north end of Morse Reservoir in Hamilton County. The opening of the reservoir in 1956 transformed Cicero from a rural, country town into a suburban community invested in education and its infrastructure. Much like surrounding towns, many of the area’s homes have been built in recent years, with the average home costing around $180,000. The wave of growth and development that has recently impacted Hamilton County, is making its way north bringing with it opportunities that continue to enhance the quality of life in Cicero.
Morse Reservoir is a main focus of entertainment for the area, with public camping and fishing available. Other recreational facilities include baseball diamonds, hard-surface tennis courts, sheltered picnic areas, and local swimming pools. Several golf courses are located between Tipton and Noblesville.
