This incorporated community sits on 1,746 acres of wooded hills and valleys. Its focal point is a 150-acre lake, 120 feet deep with four and a half miles of shoreline. Community operations are under the control of the Hidden Valley Lake Property Owners Association. Many homes here have been built on the shores of the lake or along the 18-hole PGA golf course. Some are located on wooded lots in a peaceful setting. Amenities include a community swimming pool, tennis courts, a marina, a beach and a restaurant. In 2006, HVL opened a new community center. Housing leans toward the traditional and the contemporary, though several have a Bavarian influence. Security is provided by HVL deputies, 24 hours a day. Hidden Valley was developed by James Rupel in 1972. If looking forward to traveling or other excitements, approximate travel times to downtown Cincinnati and the closest airport is about a 30-35 minute drive.
