Concord, Massachusetts is an attractive residential town located twenty miles west of Boston. Its roots are planted firmly in American 18th and 19th century literature and historical traditions, yet Concord is a 21st century town with modern services and amenities. Joining with Concord in the Regional School District at the High School level is the neighboring town of Carlisle. Once a part of Concord, Carlisle is a rural independent town with a population of only 5,500. Within easy driving distance of New England mountains, the Cape Cod shores and the lively cities of Boston and Cambridge, Concord is ideally located. The area offers a rich selection of museums, universities, hospitals, performing arts, sports teams and recreational activities.
