Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, is a suburb of both Boston and Worcester, 50 minutes from Boston and 15 minutes from downtown Worcester, MA. This town resembles a Norman Rockwell painting in the winter months. Although this town offers considerable commercial development along Route 9 and shopping centers, the town has retained its rural flavor and charm.
Lake Quinsigamond is a long deep lake separating Worcester and Shrewsbury, MA. The Quinsigamond Boat Club was formed during the mid 1800’s.and the first boat race or ‘regatta’ was held. The lake’s geographical features make it ideal for such races. The 2000 meter rowing course is internationally recognized as one of the best courses in the world.
Shrewsbury is one of the fastest growing areas in Massachusetts and is well known for beautiful, well maintained neighborhoods that harmonize lovely older homes and new developments.
Shrewsbury is ideally located in the “golden triangle” between Routes 495, 290, 90, 9, 20, and 140. Many residents are commuters to nearby biotech, medical and computer industry companies.
