The Village of Bingham Farms is a small community consisting
of 1.25 square miles and population of around 1,000 people. The Village
has held onto its quiet rural charm, augmented by scenic and serene
wooded lots and exceptional homes. It is welcomed by the sophisticated
and renowned architect Robert A.M. Stern who is responsible for
designing homes built here in his first collaboration within Michigan.
The Village of Bingham Farms is modestly sized and secluded, but is
without retail establishments. The town is less than a mile from the
equally charming neighborhood of Franklin Village, which provides
Bingham residents with even more entertainment. Bingham Farms
traditionally offers single-family homes with the median price of
$400,000. The characteristics of the historic homes in the city were
studied according to roofing type, exterior materials and colors,
windows and entries, and porches. The city has created their own
residential design guidelines, and has set the basis for new
construction in Bingham Farms.
