Grand Haven is located on the stunning eastern shores of Lake Michigan, just 30 miles west of Grand Rapids, MI. It was given its name in 1835 due to its location at the opening of the Grand River. Grand Haven has grown into a major metropolitan area, with many diverse businesses. The shopping is great too, both along main street as well as the waterfront.
Grand Haven is known for its picturesque atmosphere with its scenic dunes, channel, waterfront district and a lighthouse at the State Park. One can walk along the waterfront from downtown all the way to the lighthouse. There are a variety of housing options including new home developments in close-knit, friendly neighborhoods, surrounded by West Michigan's spectacular landscape. North Ottawa Community Hospital provides Grand Haven and Spring Lake with quality medical care.
