Located at the opening of the Cape Fear River, Caswell Beach bestows long sandy beaches and mild weather. Caswell Beach is proud of its unique residential character and quality of life. Deep dunes and beach cottages line the city’s Oceanside, and marshside cottages overlook the Cape Fear River Shipping Channel. Currently, there is no commercial development constructed on Caswell Beach, making it a very tranquil place to vacation. This city is home to the brightest lighthouse in the United States, the Oak Island Lighthouse. Known as one of the brightest lighthouses in the country, the guiding light atop the silo can be seen nearly 30 miles offshore.
