Every year the Taste of the Mountains Street Festival makes its way to Madison and has earned a title of distinctiveness and brings visitors back every year. Originating in 1992 as a heritage festival, this day of dancing, shopping, games, marvelous music, eating and more is a celebration of the Blue Ridge Mountains region and the cultures of the area’s early settlers of the 18th and 19th centuries.
