Living in South Africa

South Africa is a nation of diversity, with over 47-million people and a variety of cultures, languages and religions. It's a relatively dry country famous for its sunshine. While the Western Cape gets most of its rainfall in winter, the rest of the country is generally a summer-rainfall region.

South Africa lies on the west by the Atlantic Ocean and on the east by the Indian Ocean at the southern most point of Africa. The coastline spans 2798 kilometers. Capetown, also known as the Mother City, is found on the most southern point and is without a doubt the most beautiful city in Africa. The city of Johannesburg is the largest city is the economic and financial hob of Africa.

South Africa is famous for its sunshine. A subtropical location, moderated by ocean on three sides account for the warm temperate conditions - and so popular with its overseas visitors.

South Africa is known for its diversity in cultures, languages, and religious beliefs. Eleven official languages are recognised, english is the most commonly spoken. South Africa is ethnically diverse, 79.5% of the South African population is Black.

South Africa’s world-class wildlife-watching, cosmopolitan cities and vibrant cultures make the country appealing. Geographically, it is extreme with its deserts, subtropical coasts and fertile temperate valleys.
