Dothan, AL is in Houston County and is the largest town in the Wiregrass region of Southeast Alabama. In the Fall The National Peanut Festival draws thousands of people from all over Southeast AL to celebrate the areas largest crop, peanuts.
There are eleven elementary, four middle, two high schools, one vocational school, one community college and one regional university in Dothan. Houston County has three K-12, three 7-12, two K-6 and a vocational school.
