At the west end is historic Fort Morgan itself, a sister to Fort Gaines located on Dauphin Island. Together, they guarded the mouth of Mobile Bay through multiple wars, most notably the Civil War; travel by ferry between the two sites for a great historical perspective. Near the middle of this sliver of land, you’ll find some pretty spectacular golf with amazing views.
The homes here range from tiny fishing cabins nestled among the trees to pleasant golf-course condos to multi-million-dollar beach mansions. The variety of housing options and settings is endless.
