The Growing Town of Loxley, Alabama

Loxley’s positioning at the intersection of the east-west I-10 corridor and the Hwy. 59 north-south beach route makes it ultra-convenient to larger cities while enjoying small-town living.

This rapidly growing town of approximately 2,000 was incorporated in 1957 and encompasses just under 2.5 square miles. Within 41 miles are 6 colleges and universities. Mobile, Alabama is a few miles west, Pensacola, Florida a few miles east, and approximately 40 minutes south is the gorgeous Alabama beach.

The local churches, library and elementary school are advocates of community involvement. Pristine parks and well-maintained sports fields encourage family and group activities, as well as a social environment. The multi-use civic center hosts everything from wedding receptions to wrestling matches, and concerts to children’s and senior activities.

A lower cost of living as compared to the U.S. average creates a wonderful situation for young folks starting out and for retirees. Employment opportunities are vast due to the easy location. Smaller, older homes make up many of the neighborhoods, while a great number of homes have been built since 2004.
