There is virtually year round golf not to mention that it is also situated on the Robert Trent Jones Golf (and Spa!) Trail. Good fishing (Bass Masters has had numerous tournaments here) and hunting is included in the outdoor activities. Because of our location, a day trip or weekend trip to the beach or Lake Martin or Lake Jordan is very common.

The Riverwalk is a great opportunity to take in a baseball game at the Riverwalk Stadium (home of the Biscuits-yessss-Biscuits), take a dinner cruise on the Harriet II Riverboat, go to the Splash Pad, Riverskate or the Amphitheater for some music. The Alley Way is there also with dining and entertainment opportunities.

Besides outdoor activities, there are several entertainment venues including Alabama Shakespeare Festival (theater), Davis Theater, Montgomery Performing Arts Theater, Garrett Coliseum and the Montgomery Civic Center.

Montgomery is proud to be the home of the United States Air University located on Maxwell Air Force Base. The beginnings of this base are tied to the Wright Brothers locating their first civilian flight school in Montgomery in 1910. The school eventually became part of the first air mail service. The government placed the Army Air Corps Tactical School here which became the center for air education and with that The Air University was established in 1946.

Between Maxwell AFB and the Gunter Annex the training includes: Air and Space Basic, Squadron Officer School, Air Command and Staff College, School of Advanced Air and Space Studies, Air War College, International Officers School , Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps, Officer Training School, Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, Civil Air Patrol-U.S. Air Force, Thomas N. Barnes Center for Enlisted Education, Community College of the Air Force, USAF First Sergeant Academy, Air Force Enlisted Heritage Research Institute, and Air Force Senior NCO Academy among others.
