Activities in Appomattox, VA

Away from the historical district at Main Street, the town of Appomattox and Appomattox County region offers a variety of activities, from wine tasting at the Stonewall Vineyards and Winery to hiking the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Residents of Appomattox can enjoy Virginia’s full four seasons at the nearby Holliday Lake State Park, the Buckingham-Appomattox State Forest, and all along the James River. Appomattox also boasts a 12-mile loop trail for hikers, bikers and horseback riders, as well as an 18-hole disc golf course and the 9-hole Mountain View Golf Course.
