Arlington Heights AttractionsArlington Heights offers numerous cultural, entertainment, and recreation options for its residents. The town's centrally located Metropolis Performing Arts Center offers a theater for live performances, fine dining facilities, and a variety of retailers. The Arlington Heights Memorial Library has one of the largest collections in the state - almost half a million books available for borrowing as well as 1,600 periodical subscriptions.
One of the town's most popular attractions is the Arlington Park Race Track, which hosts a number of thoroughbred racing events including the annual Arlington Million.

Lake Arlington, a five acre man-made lake, provides residents with boat rentals as well as a walking path around the entire shoreline.
