The Relaxing town of Bald Head Island, NC

Our prime vacationing season falls between Memorial Day and Labor Day, though the Island sees plenty off visitors year-round. Residents offer more than 300 rental homes with a wide variety of accommodations, each of which include no less than one accompanying golf cart for transportation.

With two country clubs from which to choose, the Bald Head Island Club and newer Shoals Club, Islanders and vacationers never run out of things to do. A fully-stocked grocery store is located in the center of BHI along with boutiques and a hardware store. Riverside Adventure Company offers an array of rental equipment from canoes and kayaks to beach umbrellas, bikes, and golf carts.

Our claims to fame are steeped in rich Southern Coastal history, one of which is Old Baldy Lighthouse. This grand landmark is open to the public, and offers a magnificent view of the Island from atop its massive structure.

Whether dining in our restaurants, climbing to the top of Old Baldy, exploring our untamed creeks by canoe, or just lounging in the warm Southern sun amidst the gentle sands, no one leaves Bald Head Island without looking back at least once!
