Living in Bayport, MN

Bayport, MN has a growing population of over 3,500 people, and is well-loved for its charming historic atmosphere, welcoming community, and tranquil scenery overlooking the St. Croix River. Residents of Bayport enjoy a wide variety of small-town attractions, such as shopping and dining in unique and locally owned boutiques and restaurants, participating in community art fairs and seasonal festivals, and spending time year-round in the great outdoors. Bayport is popular for its river marinas, quaint shops and restaurants, and is home to four parks—the Lakeside Park, Barker’s Alps Park, Perro Park, and the Village Green Park—all of which offer a variety of active and passive recreational opportunities. Perro Park, located in the heart of the city, offers summer sporting facilities as well as a wintertime hockey and ice skating rink. Residents of Bayport also enjoy swimming, boating, and fishing on the St. Croix River and Lake St. Croix, located approximately six miles south of the city. Just a short drive from Bayport, the nearby community of Stillwater not only offers great antique shops and antiquarian bookstores, but also many art galleries and studios featuring the works of local artists inspired by the region’s natural beauty. Just a few miles south on the east side of St. Croix River, the community of Hudson is home to the Phipps Center for the Arts, which hosts a variety of theatre, music and dance productions, as well as educational classes for adults and youth. And of course, being so conveniently located within the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area, Bayport residents can enjoy an abundance of cultural attractions, family attractions, shopping and dining in nearby urban areas.
