Neighborhoods in Historic Downtown Beaufort, SC

Some of the best neighborhoods in or near Historic Downtown Beaufort are Old Point, Habersham, Battery Point and the Islands of Beaufort. Real estate in Old Point can vary from mid-19th century villas to Victorian style homes from the 20’s, and typically range in price from $650,000 to the millions. Buying a home in Old Point allows you to have instant access to the town’s most charming shops and restaurants, all within walking distance. The waterfront community of Habersham was recently deemed as having the “Best Neighborhood Design in America” according to the National Association of Home Builders. Real estate in Habersham was designed concerning many of today’s environmental issues, particularly marsh and wetland preservation. Habersham homes are a variety of village flats, townhomes, lofts and traditional houses, with base prices of $280,000 to $400,000. The community of Battery Point is located approximately 3.5 miles from downtown Beaufort, and features many outdoor amenities such as trails, parks, lighted sidewalks, pools and tennis courts. Homes for sale in Battery Point typically start in the low $300,000’s. The neighborhood referred to as The Islands of Beaufort is a charming community that features homes with views of marshland, deepwater, or wooded areas, in a wide range of prices from the $100,000’s to over a million.
