Beaverton, Oregon - Beauty Meets Brains in The Silicon Forest

The fifth largest city in the state of Oregon, Beaverton is nestled between the metropolis of Portland and the lush farms of Washington County. Originally founded on a Native American site called “Chakeipi,” which means “place of the Beaver,” Beaverton was incorporated in 1893 and is now home to over 83,000 people.

Just seven miles west of Portland, Beaverton itself is home to many small and large businesses. A large number of technology-driven businesses have put Beaverton on the “Silicon Forest” map. Companies such as Nike and Tektronix also call Beaverton home.

Over one third of Beaverton's homes were built within the past ten years. From high-rise condos to large estate homes for sale, there is real estate in Beaverton, Oregon for everyone. Good schools, a mild climate, low crime rates, clean air and water, fantastic public transportation, and proximity to both ocean beaches and mountain skiing make Beaverton a thriving and attractive community. Beaverton is world-famous for its parks, and no home in the city is more than half a mile away from a park or greenspace.
