Welcome to Bon Air, VAAt one point, Bon Air, V.A., was considered a resort area with more vacationers then residents. Today, the city, with a name meaning “good air,” has attracted more established residents due to its commitment to serve their every need. As a suburb of Richmond, Bon Air residents can easily commute to work by local expressways, although the city itself has created its own business district with plenty to offer. The city is one of five Chesterfield Country historic villages, and its strong heritage and Victorian Charm creates an inviting atmosphere for its residents and visitors.
“Virginia is for lovers” is a commonly used phrased throughout the country. For Virginia economists, the slogan is to reel tourists and residents in, with over $800 million dollars accumulated the first year the slogan was established and put to use in the public. Since then, Virginia makes $14 billion dollars a year as being the 10th most visited state in the country. Perhaps the most relevant to this slogan is Bon Air’s Memorial Rose Garden. The romantic-flower garden covers one full acre and has 135 rose varieties and 2,500 plants!
The Richmond area is a popular place to buy a home or invest in real estate. With the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Blue Ridge Mountains to the west, climate for the area is ideal all year round. People buy nearby Bon Air homes for sale because they like the town’s peaceful and relaxed atmosphere.
