Bonita Springs, Florida - One of Southwest Florida’s Fastest Growing Cities

What began as a bedroom community to its bustling neighboring towns, Naples to the south and Fort Myers to the north, is today one of Southwest Florida's fastest growing cities. In its early days people were drawn to Bonita Springs, originally named Survey by a group of government surveyors, for its natural springs and nearby creek. Some industry, including citrus, fishing and lumber kept residents here but most traveled away from town for work. Bonita continued to grow and local attractions and resorts opened luring visitors to the quiet, beachside town. Word spread, visitors became full-time residents, industry came, and communities were developed. What resulted was a lively town that now offers a lifestyle for just about everyone. From award-winning planned golf communities to serene waterfront living, Bonita Springs exudes an urban setting with small-town charm. Commercial parks, office space, and retail services are keeping pace with residential growth, always with an eye towards preserving the community's outstanding quality of life.
