Welcome to Bradenton, Florida

Nestled just to the south of Tampa Bay, Bradenton is a quickly growing area with a rich history. Taking advantage of the wonderful location, many commuters easily access the Tampa-Metro area for employment with national and international corporations. Originally discovered by Spanish explorer Hernando DeSoto in the 1500s, the town merged with the neighboring town of Manatee and incorporated into the current city of Bradenton in the early 1940s.

The beautiful downtown area is set along the Manatee River and has a newly re-invigorated spirit, with new businesses and developments creating an active and energetic location for varied dining and shopping. The boardwalk area is a perfect place to stroll leisurely along the banks of the water and enjoy the sights and sounds of a vibrant community.

Area amenities are numerous, and are as diverse as the people and culture of Bradenton. There are a number of theaters for live entertainment, opportunities for world class fresh or saltwater fishing, athletic parks and miles of boating waters. There is also the South Florida Museum, where visitors can take in a planetarium show, or visit local celebrity Snooty the Manatee.

Championship golf is a great draw to the area, where courses are abundant among the numerous private and public courses. There are also miles of pristine beaches where, at the end of the day, residents and visitors congregate to witness the dazzling sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico.

Choices of lifestyle are plentiful in Bradenton. Housing options range from the expansive country estates inland to downtown city living, as well as magnificent waterfront living on either the beach of the river. Each area of the city maintains its own unique charm, providing a complete experience and array of services for residents.
