About Alamo, California

Alamo, California is the second oldest township in Contra Costa County. Residents of this unincorporated area exercise local control through their Alamo Improvement Association and are dedicated to maintaining the community's small town ambiance and tranquility.

Alamo, California features a variety of custom homes, ranches, and contemporary villas situated on large, often hilly lots. The views from homes in Alamo are among some of the most spectacular in the Bay Area, with hilly green views reminiscent of an Italian landscape. The Roundhill subdivision offers a private 18-hole golf course as well as meeting facilities and tennis courts. Several small in-fill subdivisions can be found as large parcels of land are purchased and subdivided by local developers.
