About Brea, California

Brea, California began as an oil town in 1898, but has blossomed into an upscale, suburban city. The city requires developers to spend one percent of their construction costs on public art, so the area is scattered with art sculptures and other forms of visual art. The schools in Brea rank in the 80th and 90th percentiles. In addition to an impressive school system, the city also features a mall and a downtown retail center. Much of Brea California housing is fairly new and built to modern suburban designs and standards.
