About Hermosa Beach, California

“Hermosa” means beautiful…and that it is! Hermosa Beach, California is a stunning town and the beach is flat, sandy and long - ideal for sunbathing, volleyball and surfing. It's only 15 blocks from east to west and 40 blocks from north to south with the Pacific Coast Highway (“PCH”) running down the middle. Bordered by Manhattan Beach to the north and Redondo Beach to the south, Hermosa is perfectly located for easy access to the best the South Bay has to offer. Commuters travel 21 miles to downtown Los Angeles, but many locals work near the LAX corridor which is only a 15-minute drive.

With a pedestrian plaza at the Hermosa Beach Pier and numerous shops, boutiques, restaurants and bars in town, Hermosa has become a popular attraction for both visitors and locals. There's a fishing pier, six parks, library, delicious mix of restaurants, world famous comedy club, professional volleyball tournaments and concerts on the beach.

West of the Pacific Coast Highway are several single homes, condos, town homes and apartments, some offering beautiful sunset views. East of the Pacific Coast Highway, the hills rise into middle class and upper-middle class neighborhoods. There are many Hermosa Beach homes for sale scattered throughout this town, including multilevel homes in the hills with ocean views. Vacation rentals can also be found here.
