Commuters travel 21 miles to downtown Los Angeles, but many locals work near the LAX corridor which is only a 15-minute drive.
With a pedestrian plaza at the Hermosa Beach Pier and numerous shops, boutiques, restaurants and bars in town, Hermosa has become a popular attraction for both visitors and locals. There's a fishing pier, six parks, library, delicious mix of restaurants, world famous comedy club, professional volleyball tournaments and concerts on the beach.
West of the Pacific Coast Highway are several single homes, condos, town homes and apartments, some offering beautiful sunset views. East of the Pacific Coast Highway, the hills rise into middle class and upper-middle class neighborhoods.
