Welcome to Santa Rosa, located 55 miles North of San Francisco, in the middle of beautiful wine country! Being the largest city in the North Bay, Santa Rosa has a population of approximately 162,000 residents. It is the fifth largest city in the Bay Area and the 12th largest in the State of California. Santa Rosa’s known for its Mediterranean climate which is characterized by warm dry summers with cool fog laden nights and wet winters. Santa Rosa’s most well known residents include famous horticulturalist, Luther Burbank and Charles Schultz of Peanuts fame. Other famous residents include world class cyclist Levi Leipheimer, Guy Fieri, celebrity chef and film actress Natalie Wood.

Santa Rosa’s also known for its parks, historic neighborhoods, it’s charming downtown and convenient location to world class wineries and vineyards. Parks of note include Howarth Park (city), Spring Lake (county) and 5000 acre Annadel State Park where residents flock for recreation and fun. Historic neighborhoods include the McDonald District, Burbank Gardens located near the historic Luther Burbank gardens, the Junior College area and Railroad Square.

Educational opportunities abound in Santa Rosa which is known for its outstanding public schools including Santa Rosa Junior College which is known as one of the top JC’s in the State of California. Santa Rosa is also close to Sonoma State University.

Santa Rosa is uniquely positioned geographically as the gateway to northern California’s famed wine country. In addition, the city’s lure as a tourist destination is augmented by its abundant recreational opportunities; kayaking, fishing, hunting, wine tasting, hiking, biking, shopping are all within reach of this amazing location.
