Still keeping its agricultural roots, San Juan Bautista, California is perfect for people who love nature, history and want to get away from the franticness of today. It has National Landmarks such as The Juan Bautista de Anza House (the home of a Spanish Explorer who lived here in the late 1700s). It's most famous landmark however is the Mission San Juan Bautista. A Californian church built in the late 1700s, it is still functioning today and even holds mass and functions as a parish. This church's most famous role is actually in movie history as it's where Jimmy Stewart and Kim Novak had their legendary confrontation at the end of Alfred Hitchcock's movie Vertigo.
