About San Leandro, California

Most famous for its annual Cherry Festival, San Leandro, California is a quiet, small community which many older residents like to call home, adding to the feeling of serenity throughout the entire town. San Leandro's famous marina houses many boats, and its two golf courses are perfect for relaxation. It has a park system made up of 23 parks, pools and other recreational facilities which have room for numerous activities such as swimming, tennis and jogging.

Many of the residents who moved to San Leandro in the 1950s and 1960s have chosen to stay here, which is why San Leandro has a large elderly population. However, a growing number of families with children have started moving to San Leandro.
