Redding, California is a city of over 90,000 people. It is beautifully situated at the north end of the Sacramento Valley with views of Mt. Shasta to the north and Mt. Lassen to the east.

The Redding area offers golfing, hiking, fishing, biking, hunting, waterskiing and snow skiing for outdoor enthusiasts. Shasta Lake is 15 minutes to the north with over 350 miles of shoreline. House boating vacations are a popular attraction here. Picturesque Whiskeytown Lake offers great fishing, kayaking, and sail boating. Spanning the Sacramento River which flows through Redding is the Sundial Bridge a popular attraction for locals and tourists.

There are numerous cultural events, with the Turtle Bay Museum, Civic Auditorium, the historic Cascade Theater, and the Riverfront Playhouse providing great venues. The Northstate Symphony, concerts and dance productions are just a few of the events offered.
