Let’s go back in time…better yet, let’s have a History lesson! This Icon in American History was born in this city on January 9th, 1913. He served as a VP and then was later elected as our 37th President! Do you know who I’m talking about? Here’s a clue, the Richard Nixon library was built where he was born! Now do you know? That’s right! Richard Nixon! He is possibly one of the most notable figures to come out of Yorba Linda, but he alone did not put Yorba Linda on the map!

What started off as a sleepy town with only 19,000 residents in 1889 has grown to over 68,000 residents in 2008! How’s THAT for growth! Along with the impressive Nixon Library, there are the impressive Black Gold Golf Course and the Yorba Linda Spotlight Theatre which encourages teens interested in the arts. There are also Concerts in the Park, Fiesta Days, an Old Fashioned Holiday Celebration and even a “Battle of the Bands” at the Community Center for all you music lovers!

Hungry? Then your taste buds are going to thank you for stopping in such neat eateries as “The Wild Artichoke” on Yorba Ranch Road, or the Fitness Grill on Imperial Hwy. Don’t let the names fool you; both are tasty and reasonably priced!
