- The Colorado National Monument features towering monoliths and red rock formations and is a terrific place to take a picnic and hike. The 26 mile drive showcases some amazing sights and is one of the “must-see” areas in the valley.
- Just 40 minutes from Grand Junction, the Grand Mesa, the largest flat-topped mountain in the world, rises over 10,000 feet. With an average snowfall of 250 inches and vertical drop of 1,650 feet, Powderhorn Resort offers great skiing for all abilities. “The Mesa” is also popular for its fishing, hiking and mountain biking during the summer.
- If you’re a baseball fan, you shouldn’t miss JUCO-Junior College Baseball World Series. For the past 50 years, JUCO has been held in Grand Junction the last weekend in May and provides a full week of baseball and an unforgettable experience.
