Welcome to Fruita, CO

Fruita, Colorado is a year-round outdoor and wildlife lovers dream! Just at the foothills of the Colorado National Monument, Fruita allows its residents a chance to enjoy the ruggedness and beauty that Colorado has to offer. With a climate consisting of a mild winter and a hot summer, Fruita residents get to enjoy their beautiful surroundings all year round.

Fruita's population and housing is growing faster then any other city in Mesa County. In 2006, almost 215 new housing units were developed. Downtown Fruita is growing along with its population, with many new restaurants, hotels, and various area attractions on the rise. With growth populations not estimated to slow until 2018, Fruita is becoming a business hub and tourist spot for the state of Colorado, with its economy rising and housing opportunities strengthening.

Colorado River State Park is perfect for the fishing enthusiast with a boat-launch directly on the Colorado River. Spend the morning or all day hooking for trout, rainbow, and bass fish that live abundantly in the waters. The Grand Valley Music Festival is held at the park every year, and along with other outdoor festivals in the area, Fruita offers many options for entertaining family and friends. Fruita boasts The McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area and world class golf that is surrounded by soaring rocks and serene wilderness.

Mountain biking, rafting, hiking and rock-climbing are extremely popular activities in Fruita and the surrounding areas. With sites and parks specifically geared for all of these activities, an outdoorsman gets the chance to enjoy the untouched beauty that the mountains have to offer.
