Welcome to West Granby, CT

West Granby is rural community located in Hartford County, Connecticut. It is a village of the town of Granby, a place that maintains its rural charm and tradition. Granby is characterized by winding back roads, hiking trails, beautiful parks and nature centers, family farms, small merchants and quiet, relaxing yards. Granby’s estimated population is 11,000 and its industry is mostly agricultural.

The public school system is made up of one primary school, two intermediate schools, one middle school and one high school. Students in Granby also attend one of the many private and boarding schools in the area. One of West Granby’s most popular destinations is Holcomb Farm, a fun and educational farm that provides activities for anyone who wants to experience art and nature. Holcomb Farm offers hiking trails, painting lessons, picnic areas, vernal pools, gardens, and more, all in a beautiful, unspoiled setting just 25 minutes northwest of Hartford.
