Carefree attracts many tourists with its unique boutique shops and also creates an open whimsical feeling. Even the street names in this small town, such as Easy Street, and Ho and Hum Roads, represent the slower and laid back way of life here.
Carefree and Cave Creek both cater to their residents and tourists that come to visit year round. They each offer art centers, unique shopping and dining, and beautiful resorts and breakfast inns. Since Carefree and Cave Creek are at an elevation of 2,500 feet, the temperatures are about 5 to 6 degrees cooler than Phoenix, offering an escape from the Valley heat.
