Carmel, Indiana is one of the fastest growing cities in Indiana and with good reason. It has a reputation for being a safe, family-oriented city with a genuine sense of community. Located just 10 miles north of downtown Indianapolis in Hamilton County, Carmel offers easy access to 465 with US Highway 31 running straight through the city. With over 100 neighborhoods for residents to choose from, Carmel has variety of homes available, from luxurious houses on wooded lots to turn-of-the-century bungalows to traditional neighborhood developments. The city’s home prices range primarily from $135,000 to well over $3,000,000. Notably, Carmel homes have appreciated steadily over the last 20 years.

With one of the highest per-capita incomes in the country, Carmel also attracts residents for its school system which is ranked as one of the best in the state due to their continued focus on excellence standards. Upscale retailers and restaurants are found throughout the city in addition to attractions such as several private and public golf courses, the Carmel Civic Square, the Carmel Symphony Orchestra, Clay Terrace outdoor mall and the Carmel City Center mixed use development.

The city continually renews its commitment to having a vibrant and diverse community. The Arts and Design District in Downtown Carmel offers commercial businesses an opportunity to showcase their creative and artistic products in the economic hub of the city. The Monon Greenway, named for the rails of the Monon Railroad which were laid through Carmel in 1882, runs through the city. This quiet, tree-lined trail offers a unique recreational activity for Carmel residents. In addition, the city built the Monon Center, a community wellness center that connects with the Monon Greenway and offers community events and a fitness center.
