The Charming Town of Cedarburg, WI

Located along the banks of Cedar Creek you will find the charming town of Cedarburg. Strolling through Cedarburg’s downtown reveals an array specialty shops, charming restaurants, taverns and century-old inns. In fact, Cedarburg’s Washington Avenue is a favorite way for locals to spend an evening – shopping, stopping for coffee or a bite to eat, or just taking in the small-town ambience.

Its thriving downtown is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and features buildings dating back to the 1800s. The city’s residential base is a mixture of older, stately homes and modern subdivisions. Since 1960, the community’s population has more than doubled.

Many visitors make it a point to come to Cedarburg during one of the city’s popular street festivals. Celebrate the cold at Winter Festival in February and get your fill of delicious delicacies at June’s Strawberry Festival. In September there’s no better way to enjoy autumn than Cedarburg’s Wine and Harvest Festival.

Everywhere you look in Cedarburg you will find art. Many shops and galleries feature local artists and craftspeople, while the Cedarburg Cultural Center and the Cedarburg Performing Arts Center are home to exhibits and performances that feature both national and local talent. It is easy to see why this southeastern Wisconsin Community is often listed as a must-see in the Midwest.
