Welcome to Charlotte Hall, MD

Charlotte Hall is a modest town of just 1,300 residents located in St. Mary’s County. The town’s largest employer is the Patuxent River Naval Air Warfare Center, but the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home is also located here, on the site of the old Charlotte Hall Military Academy. But Charlotte Hall’s real appeal comes largely from its rural setting and natural beauty; the town is just minutes from the Chesapeake Bay and several of its scenic tributaries. Thus, those looking for a relaxed pace of life frequently consider relocating to Charlotte Hall, whose large Amish community provides such desirable commodities as handmade furniture and locally grown produce.
