Living in Chattanooga, TN
Aside from its beauty and great destination appeal, Chattanooga offers a diverse array of annual events that inspire artistic and cultural vitality in our community, giving us a reason to stay.
The “4 Bridges Arts Festival”, held every April, features paintings, sculptures, jewelry, photography, fiber, wood and metal artwork by a select 150 national, regional and local artists. This family-friendly event is held at The First Tennessee Pavilion and is considered one of the highest profile events in Chattanooga.
From May to September, Miller Plaza welcomes the entire community to hear world-class musicians in the evening air for free at “Nightfall”. Not long after that, over 600,000 people gather downtown for “Riverbend”, a nine day music festival featuring five stages of entertainment ranging from classic rock to country. And to add to the already broad musical festivities, a free summer concert series is held from Ross's Landing from August to September known as "Riverfront Nights.”
To kick off fall, the “3 Sisters Festival”, a free, two-day bluegrass event, showcases some of the top names in contemporary and traditional bluegrass as well as a few local talents down by the waterfront. The “Fall Color Cruise” follows thereafter, and gives passengers a closer look at the beautiful leaves along the Tennessee River Gorge. To end Chattanooga’s annual merriment, “Christmas on the River” hosts performances, concessions and a parade of more than thirty boats decorated in yuletide cheer.
It is clear that Chattanooga provides attractions and events for every persuasion. Come experience the Scenic City all year long.
