Chino, CA attractions

Today Chino has a population of over 75,000 people and has become a key residential and commercial area within California’s Inland Empire. The city boasts beautiful well-established neighborhoods, a healthy economy and welcoming business climate, well-rounded educational opportunities, as well as many exciting attractions and recreation possibilities. Residents of Chino can enjoy a variety of local museums, such as the Planes of Fame Air Museum and the Yanks Air Museum, the nearby Ontario Museum of History & Art, as well as the Yorba-Slaughter Adobe, one of the oldest standing adobe residences in the county. Also, the Chino Youth Museum provides fun ways for children to explore their local history and the cultures that have contributed to their community. In addition to its historic attractions, Chino has a vibrant arts community that supports the Chino Community Theater, which performs classic and contemporary plays and musicals at the Seventh Street Community Theater. There are also ample opportunities for kids to get involved in the arts with the Chino Community Children’s Theater, which offers theater education and a year-round program of family-oriented performances. Enjoying the city’s beautiful location and nearly 300 sunny days a year, the Chino community is also very active. The City of Chino maintains 10 parks, plus recreation facilities for both adults and youth. Chino children can participate in various after-school programs and summer camps, and there are a number of community sports teams available for both adults and children, including basketball, softball/baseball, volleyball and more. Golfers of all skill levels can take advantage of more than 20 golf courses within 10 miles of the city center, and can participate in the Chino Amateur Golf Championship that takes place annually.
