Welcome to College Hill, OH

A prestigious residential community in the 1850s, College Hill, Ohio takes its name from the two colleges—Farmers College and Ohio Female College—that once were located here. There are stately homes on tree-lined streets, beautiful Tudors, attractive ranches, a high-rise condo and some smaller townhouses. Its active business district, “The Avenue,” is lined with small, specialty shops. One shop, the College Hill Coffee Co., was featured in a nationally syndicated carton strip (“Dinette Set,” which runs in the Enquirer). There are plans for a mixed-use development on the old Shuller Wigwam’s site that would include cafes, bars and condos. Linden Park is a $10-million two-phase project proposed by Al Neyer, Inc. First phase is a three-story building with a ground floor restaurant and retail; two floors of 19 market-rate condominiums. The second phase will consist of 22 townhomes (sales center to open at 6210 Hamilton). Amenities here include a spacious new facility, College Hill Recreation Center on Belmont Avenue, which boasts indoor walking track, two gymnasiums, shallow pool and teen lounge. Residents shop at nearby malls such as Northgate and Tri-County. Access to public transit makes it convenient for downtown Cincinnati commuters. It is home to College Hill Fundamental Academy, preschool-6; also to private schools—McAuley High School, a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence; Eden Grove Academy, an interdenominational school. On the edge of LaBoiteaux Woods is Six Acres Bed & Breakfast, the 1860s home of abolitionist Zebulon Strong.
