Cumberland, Rhode Island is located in Providence County and was incorporated in 1746. This city is one of the fastest growing areas of Rhode Island. Today, manufacturing and retail trade are the biggest sources of income in Cumberland. The continued industrial and commercial growth has contributed greatly to Cumberland's tax base. The Town still retains its rural charm even with the steady growth in industry, retail and residents. Single houses, multi-family homes and condos make up the majority of dwellings in Cumberland.
