Clayton is a small town in Kent County, Delaware with a population of about 1,500. An interesting fact about Kent County is that it is one of the few counties in the country to border a county of the same name in a different state. In this case, Kent County, Delaware is bordered by Kent County, Maryland. Clayton features beautiful farmland, coastal scenery and a variety of historical and cultural sites. Annual events include the Amish Country Bike Tour, Old Dover Days, NASCAR races, the Chocolate Festival and the Delaware State Fair, among many others.
