Welcome to Seaford, DE

As the largest city in Sussex County, Seaford is home to more than 6000 residents. The community’s downtown recently underwent a $1.5 million renovation, which included the construction of the Gateway Park and River Walk, a 400-foot landscaped and lighted sidewalk running along the Nanticoke River. Popular downtown activities and attractions include the three-day Nanticoke Riverfest, the Seaford Christmas Parade, and the Seaford Museum, which displays artifacts dating back to Seaford’s origins as a Nanticoke Indian settlement.

Much of Seaford’s charm comes from its location on the banks of the Nanticoke River, a 30-mile-long tributary of the Chesapeake Bay. But equally appealing is the town’s central location, a half-hour from both the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. This makes Seaford real estate some of the area’s most desirable, particularly among outdoor enthusiasts. Yet families are also drawn to Seaford real estate, thanks to the town’s four elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, and the Seaford Christian Academy.
