Living In Detroit, MI

Welcome to the Detroit Metropolitan area! We take pride in our city and the rich traditions and history that began here. For over 300 years, Detroit has been an innovative city bringing mass railroad transit and automobiles to the world, bridging the gap between cities and states. It brought Motown to the world with the likes of the Jackson 5 and Diana Ross and The Supremes and changed the music industry forever.

The states nationally ranked universities have produced many engineers and entrepreneurs’ keeping the state of Michigan at the top of the country’s manufacturing and product development industries. We now look to our future as we venture into the world of alternative fuels and production companies.

Detroit has all the offering of a large metropolitan community; arts and culture, professional sports teams, museums, shopping and miles of beaches and riverfront communities, yet, venture into our suburbs and find the individuality that every community offers, making the residence of the big metropolitan city feel that they live in a small town community.

If you are trying to chose a neighborhood that fits your requirements, you may choose Birmingham with its’ beautiful ‘walk to town’ neighborhoods and upscale shopping and dining or Bloomfield Hills which boasts estate size yards and rolling hills and invites its’ guests to stroll through Cranbrook gardens, art museum or the planetarium.

Perhaps you may prefer Huntington Woods, a residential community with a neighborhood pool and Recreation Center where neighbors can play tennis, take an art class or simply gather together. Huntington Woods is just across the infamous Woodward Avenue to Royal Oak which is known for its artsy shops and restaurants where street musicians are found collecting an audience as they stroll through the streets filled with active night life.

By contrast the historic homes that surround downtown Rochester Hills with its’ charming shops is just a small walk from miles of beautiful nature trails maybe the perfect community for you. There is truly something for everyone in Metro Detroit; whether you prefer a quiet bedroom community or an active downtown, Metro Detroit affords you the opportunity to find the perfect destination just to your liking!
